For Sale, My lovely VW T5.
It's SWB, speed, litre diesel from 2012. bought this van years ago with view to slowly convert it to full campervan with pop top and full width rock and roll bed. However it is with heavy heart that have been forced by circumstances to sell my van. Its been the best vehicle I've ever owned, It's never missed beat and I've really looked after it by getting the best parts for conversion/upgrades and service when required.
Vehicle spec. Cruise controlAir conditioningAnti roll back. (Really useful!! no handbrake required, just press the foot brake once)CD playerSat NavBluetooth to link your phone (calls/music ETC.)6 months MOT left, Full set of good quality disc's and pads fitted months ago. (£500)Full set brand new Michelin Agilis fitted 800 miles ago. (£550)
As I'm sure we all know, UK staycations are going to be super popular this year. So it makes good sense to get yourself campervan so you can enjoy some time away at campsite or even get yourself an off grid adventure going!!
So, Why buy this van?
VW T5's are great investment as they hold their value like no other comparable vehicles.  Plus there are wealth of companies and people who supply all sorts of products and services to convert and customise these vans to make them perfect for your needs and style!! I'm asking for 13k for this van, which makes it just about the most affordable T5 day camper on Ebay. The cheaper vans have astronomical mileage or are panel vans with no work done. have done all the hard work so the new owner can enjoy the option of keeping as it is or customising it to their requirements.  If you finished off the conversion;1. pop top (around £2,400 https://www.denbycampervans.com/products/denby-elevating-roofs.php))2. Finish cabinets and add cooker. (£1,500 MAX)You will have van that's cost around £16,900 and is work well over £25k. Just have look at the other vans of this age and mileage. Plus if you are practical person they are great projects to get involved in and you can make some money as well!! Better than getting bored in lockdown.

When 1st bought this van fully sound deadened all the bodywork and put in loads of the best insulation could fit in(£500). This makes the van quieter on the motorways and warmer overnight. bought dark blue carpet and fully lined the whole back of the van including fitting six "Van Shade" Pods. Please look at the following link to see the quality of the shades I've bought. think they are the best quality and most modern looking blinds available. (£740 for the units)https://www.vanshades.co.uk/?doing_wp_cron=1590243466.7865560054779052734375
We have three children and when was researching rear seats/rock and roll beds. was put off the cheaper ones as they usually just bolted into the metal floor. If the vehicle was involved in an accident the cheaper seats would just pop out of the floor.  I've worked as firefighter for 17 years and will not cut corners when it comes to the safety of our kids. ended doing fair bit of research to find the safest rear seats, ended up finding that RIB seats have been tested to German TUV standards and UK ISO 9001. got full width, RIB Altaire seat (£2500) from Kiravans in Yorkshire.  It came with substantial sub frame that attaches to the vehicles chassis and the seat is attached to as well. also had extra 10mm stainless steel plates Lasor cut to attach the seat to the vans front anchor points. (Probably over the top know)RIB rock and roll seats are very expensive but are very well made and best of all, the sitting surface is not the sleeping surface. This means you can have shaped/contoured comfortable seats and nice flat bed. Please look at some reviews to get an idea of the quality of the seat.
Other things I've fitted to the van are,
RIB Captain swivels to both driver and passenger seats up front. (£300)Full Original VW glass all round, (not the cheaper aftermarket versions that just don't look correct) (Over £1000)PF Jones tow bar and electrics. Best quality kit, this was never used for towing, only for my bike rack. (£250)Omtec roof rails and bars (£180) These are great quality and streamlined so they don't make any noise on the motorway.I had Pendle Performance re-map the ECU, which transformed the van to be honest. (£800) It is really smooth and returns over 40mpg during my work commute! If you look at engine re-mapping, Pendle Performance are one of the best in the country. Most other companies offering this service actually use their programming and technique. I also had couple of extra upgrades done so that this diesel engine will not fall foul of the usual diesel problems in the future.Driver's and passenger doors are fitted with wind deflectors so you can have your windows open without gale rushing in when you are on the move.Chunky side bash bars fitted, Matt Black with rubberised insets. Colour coded rear spoiler trims fitted. (From the Sportline Model)
Bad Points. The reversing sensor is not working properly. (Common Fault apparently) Its an easy fix but haven't got round to it as it has never caused me problem. There are few minor bodywork blemishes, it could do with professional detailing to make it perfect again. might just be overly fussy. was going to get the whole van custom re-painted to go for retro looking white over dove blue colour scheme which I've seen and looked brilliant. The plastic side step trims are little worn. Very minor issue, you can buy new ones for £60-£70 easily. There is only key. The driver and passenger seat material doesn't match. was going to get them both re-covered to match the rear seat.
Overall, this is great van in great condition. I'm truly gutted to have to sell it. Everything have done to this van has been with the idea of keeping it, hence why spent lots of money and got the best quality parts. I've tried to be as honest as possible about the van, look at the pictures closely to get your own view.
Please, come and have look if you are serious about buying. Viewings are encouraged!! certainly wouldn't spend this much money without good look over.
Please don't come over to kick tyres and waste time, nobody likes being messed about.
Please email any questions you may have, and will do my best to answer them.
Payment is preferred by bank transfer, or at push, by cash. Please note, the van will not be going anywhere until funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking !
