Based on the long wheelbase Ford Transit, it has the highly regarded Ford 2.5 non-turbo 'banana' engine which returns over 30mpg.
Very well designed in Auto-Sleepers traditional style, plenty of cupboards and storage space.
The front passenger seat swivels and has lockable compartment below, there is an additional forward-facing belted seat in the rear with storage under. Comfortable pull-out side bench seat with storage under, together with the rear seat it makes up either two single beds or one large double.
Good sized wardrobe with cupboard above, and compartment for gas bottles below.
Two tables, one large one small.
Gas cooker with burner hob, grill and oven. The Carver water heater runs off gas or mains hookup, it had new pressure relief valve fitted this year.
Thermostat controlled Propex Compact 1600 gas blown air heater, serviced last year with new igniter module, igniter probe and flame sensor.
Electrolux 3-way fridge, running off 12v when driving, 240v mains when on hookup, and gas.
Electric flush Thetford cassette toilet. Reasonable size shower compartment with drop-down basin. The shower/toilet compartment door opens out across the van to make private dressing compartment.
Status Vision Plus omnidirectional amplified TV aerial (untested).
Underslung fresh and waste water tanks.
All appliances work as they should.
Mains hook up lead, water filler hose and 1x 3.9kg Calor propane gas bottle are included. Original Auto Sleepers and Ford manuals present.
We have never used the awning and cannot vouch for it's condition but it looks to be perfectly usable.
We had full engine service carried out last year, including cam belt change, new engine starting battery and new leisure battery. We fitted 12v additional charging socket and USB outlets for charging smartphones etc, we changed all the halogen bulbs to LED, also fitted an inline water filter.
It is tidy for the year but being over 20 years old it's obviously not in 'showroom' condition!
We bought this as 'stopgap' between motorhomes, it has been absolutely reliable and very economical to run.
