Only had this for short while and only driven few miles. Domestic circumstances force me to change my plans. To be sold as seen.
Well built, well lined and dry habitation space for 2/3 people. One captains seat, and inside converts to two single or one double, plus small bed or xtra storage in roof area. Cleaned thoroughly. Good original quality features inside as expected with these early Rapport versions of T1000 Trafic, though gas heater, privacy curtain and water tap are missing. All electrics work, gas cooker and fridge not been tested but all connections seem fine Electricity and gas NOT certificated tho, and camper has no Habitation Certificate
Body work good for year though paint rather poor in places. And few small blemishes to be expected for its age. Rear door issue  exists (poor closure with small crease on), but doors (with bolt inside) do lock and dont leak. Been well looked after before last MOT with work done underneath. All appears very solid. Comes with sets of keys, new tyres (the spare is good), all EHU leads, gaz bottle, awning (untested), new leisure battery, new handbrake cable, spark plugs and leads  Also original Rapport Instructions, few years service history and written instructions by past owner on bed layout! wks MOT left (Jan 23rd 2019) and has one Advisory (hazard warning lights fault).
**HOWEVER!**-- discovered after purchase choke/carburettor issue..(its manual choke). Was then told it had to be run on choke all the time!. This has resulted in constant overheating (Coolant system needs recharging, but does not leak) and appalling mpg! Ive had temporary fix done  but carburettor still plays up. On professional advice it needs stripping down, cleaned and rebuilt. Hence dont drive it, its now off the  road. Main battery seems fine, does start engine ok but bear in mind vehicle is not being driven now. larger aH one would be wise (its 46aH only). Am keeping it charged up anyway.
The fuel gauge does not work well at all-very erratic movement. In an attempt to fix it (or so was told by previous owner) replacement dashboard cluster (with most light bulbs missing!) was installed by him with 77112 miles on. But this has not cured fault.  Hence the mileage on the odometer now is incorrect for the true mileage of engine. According to the last MOT certificate Jan 23rd this year the true engine mileage then was 107380. Add the mileage that was put on apparently by that particular owner plus what have driven (about 10 mls) to the replaced odometer originally showing the 77112 miles and you get to the declared on profile here  mileage  of 79777. So would say the TRUE mileage of the engine is about 110000. have some proof of this along with the previous original dashboard cluster itself, which has been stored in an internal cupboard.
Other known faults- O/S/F and N/S/F door window winders working very badly. Due to overheating there was crack discovered in the exhaust manifold its now been cold welded. Advisable to recharge cooling system (no leaks been detected though).
This is an excellently well preserved inside and previously well looked after classic Autosleeper that with some knowledgeable attention by skilled mechanic upon the choke and the carburettor etc would produce sound and solid Motorhome for two people very comfortably. But Ive decided want to move it on to that person. Hence the price. So please note its NOT really wise to be driving it, it will HAVE TO BE TOWED. Unless you can cope with dodgy carburettor which might well let you down en route!!
Due to the quality of the original late 1980s habitation and the overall solidness of the coachwork, Im NOT letting this go for very low amount, hence fair price expected-If ALL things were working and if ALL missing items were still inside it and the paintwork restored this vehicle would realise a  higher price despite its age. But do need to recoup some of my losses  and  do need quick sale to the right knowledgeble person who can make this into an excellent Classic Motorhome for the few hundreds of pounds extra needed on it. Therefore SERIOUS enquiries only please.
As stated, any enquiries message me and will reply within 24hrs. Viewing welcome. Thank you.
