Low starting price simply to generate interest.This 1968 Dormobile is in need of restoration over theyears, it had been started in part but clearly never got around to finishing. Thevan was actually road legal and driven by the owner up until last year were itwas driven in to the garage and that it where it has been stored since eversince; it will now require continuation of works to get it back on the roadas it is declared SORN. Work initially started included repairing the front windscreenpanel, relining the dormobile lid, rebuffing the paintwork (which all in all isin very good nick). Currently the front windscreen is not in place due to the owner starting restoring the panel; this window is in the van.The underside was never started so can’t say whetherthere is lot of work required here. I’d assume that there will be areas on thevan that require welding due to the age and current condition of the van but cannotbe more specific than this. Sorry! The interior will require completerenovation although original interiors are still intact and could potentiallybe cleaned, secured and reinstated. cannot find the service history although Ihave been told by the owner that this may still be on the van; haven’t lookedas wouldn’t know where to start. The VW badge for the front panel which isn't present in the picture is definitely in the van!Those of you who know your VW Dormobile vans will know thatcampers produced from 1968 and before were aircooled which are apparentlydesirable and adds to the classic nature of this van. This has great potentialto the right person and know will deliver profit to those who can restoreit to its former glory!
