Hi
Welcome to the auction for my Volkswagen T4 campervan.
I have owned this vehicle since 2013 and have enjoyed every minute of ownership, genuinely sorry to see it go but have T5 now and its time for it to move on.  It was an empty van when bought it and have completed the conversion work my self over several years, all work has been carried out to high standard as it had always been my plan to keep the van.
Base vehicle2001 T4 2.5tdi 88bhp (before upgrade)T30Factory minibus so comes with factory windows and is classed as passenger carrying wv2 chassis.Twin sliding doorsTailgate rear doorRear sportline spoilerChrome side bars Wolfrace eurosport classic wheels, wheels and tyres have only covered less than 2000milesLowered 40mm with Eibach heavy duty springs and the front wound down to match.CD playerTow barCustom door cardsPassenger door card even has the elusive door pocket.Project power 0.5 injectors. These are upgraded injectors to increase performance. went for the 0.5 injectors which are designed to work without remap. This is how run the van, this is supposed to increase power to something in the region of 120bhp don’t have any proof but certainly the van was noticeable faster when they were fitted was quite happy with that.  Should the purchaser choose to get the remap done this should push the power up to around 140-150bhp,  plenty of info on this if you google project power t4.The van has covered 239k miles, it starts first time every time and drives lovely.  I’ve done around 20k in the 7years I’ve owned it and I’ve replaced few parts, if it’s needed something it’s had it.The cam belt and water pump were done in August 2018.Both keys are present.
Paint workThe van had respray in august. The wheel arches had some light surface rust and there were couple of scratches here and there so did the whole van to ensure colour match. This wasn’t intended to be show winning paint job but has come out pretty good. Certainly the paint will be better than 95% of T4s out there.  Just to be up front, there is slight difference in the shade of the pop roof to the rest of the van, this barely noticeable and in fact is no worse than the match before the re-spray. Also the van was painted with the roof down so there is very slight shade difference where the new paint feathers into the old but this is only visible if viewed from above and when the pop roof is raised.  I have several litres paint left over which will go to the buyer so this can be rectified at later date if you choose to but really it’s not that bad.
Conversion
Electrics230v mains hook up, connects to hidden inlet in the dummy fog light cover.Pms power management system handles the 230v and 12v electrics, also includes battery charger to charge both vehicle and leisure batteries when on mains hook up. Durite heavy duty split charge relay to charge leisure battery from vehicle alternator when driving.Separate 80watt solar panel,  this has suckers on it so it can be stuck to the roof when camped up, or as is often the case moved to somewhere else in the direction that the sun is Actually shining from. Also the solar panel isn’t stuck on the roof all the time when driving, so your not carting it about on weekends when you know you’ll be on hookup anyway.230v, 12v and usb sockets are distributed around the van.
CookingCan single gas hob with sink.Double gas burner pulls out from unit.  I call this my Bi-sexual grill as it swings both ways, so you can cook inside or outside.  Under the seat bed is ply made gas locker with sealed corners and gas drop out vent. No gas bottle included with sale.
SinkWater container is stored under the seat bed. This feeds the sink by 12v electric pump.  The water container can be removed from the van quite easily to be filled, or can be filled using the inlet in the back cupboard once the tailgate is open.  Sink waste drains to an outlet beneath the van which isn’t easily visible.
Sleeping I bought the RIB seat bed.  It’s considered one of the safest seat bed options available, it certainly wasn’t cheap.  It’s finished in black leatherette and matches the front seats quite well.  The seats have isofix installed.  I had fixing bar fabricated so the seat is bolted through the floor and then through the fixing bar which is bolted to the chassis.  The roof bed will sleep two children or one adult quite comfortably, maybe two small adults.  There is net across the front to stop children falling out.
StorageAll furniture made from light weight leisure ply. There are two pullout drawers under the seat. A large wardrobe at the rear accessed from tambour door.Area behind the wheel arch is accessed from the rear of the van.Cupboard space under the sink accessed from tambour door.
General conversionFront seats are leather and both swivel.  Fitted cab mat  Fitted carpet to main living areaOrange suede cab headliningOrange suede lining and be roundel to underside of roof bed, lights up with main lightsLed roof lightsAcrylic worktop, glows at night.  Matching table top included (needs table leg)Drop down DVD playerVan blackout curtainsFront cab thermal screensUnder the carpet are rows of unwin rails.  These were here from its previous life as minibus.  Quite useful feature as you can add extra seats quite easily using quick release fixings.  I used to have couple of old minibus seats with built in seat belts that bolted to the rails.  This can potentially up the vehicle to seater in few minutes if needed.
I have tried to list every thing as honestly as possible.Iam sure there are other features may have missed.
I will miss this van it’s been part of my life.  We’ve enjoyed many trips to coast, Cornwall, France and vw festivals it’s time for someone else to share some of the joy.
I’ve just got the MOT done so is sold with one year full mot. Please be aware the van is currently sorn so it will need to be taxed when driving away.
Please message me for any more details you want, have plenty of other pictures available if you want them.
Sorry for the essay
Thanks
Tristan
