I bought this van at the beginning of the year with the full intentions to fully convert it into camper van.

As you can see from the photos was nearly there but after couple of camping trips it has come apparent that it's to small for are needs so stopped building it so can start again on bigger van.

The Van itself:

It's 2005 VW T5 that was plumbers van when got it, it has no rust issues and very tidy for its age, drives great and we have been all over the south west and Wales in the short time we have had it with no issues at all.
DAB radio that could do with replacing but works fine, roof bars ready for roof box.
Also I've put in new alternator, glow plugs and bushes.
Brand new 12 MONTHS MOT with some advisories please check Gov.com for these, but these are things you expected for 14 year old van.
Electric windows
Has keys and manual.

Conversion:

Sound proofed then insulated with recycled bottle insulation with it all sealed with vapour barrier, ply walls then full carpeted.
Floor and roof insulated with the floor been laminated.
Leisure battery with smart split charger that runs USB ports on both sides of the rear passenger seat, interior lights and work/door light on the side (original lights left in aswell that run off the van battery) and this is running out of fuse box at the back of the van with easy access, volt meter to see what's left on the battery aswell.
Rock and Roll seat that turns into bed, this has seatbelts that allows seating for whilst travelling. Uncertainty if its M1 pull tested but bolted to the floor through the cross beams with inch spread plates on each bolt so it's going nowhere,
Cabinets are self built to keep cost down and do the job but not the best quality again fixed in place so dosnt move.
Up front seats and the cigarette lighter has been changed for USB port and van battery meter.

Bad points

It doesn't have clean sheet on the MOT with the advisories but what see think it's in the eye of the examination and can honestly say hes been abit harsh in some areas.

258k yep it's high one, but it drives fine, got it with no service history so it will have none but only what I've done to it.

Dints on the back doors (my bad reversing into the wheelie bin)

Sender issue, losing fuel pressure over night but with couple of turns of the key to build pressure back up, from then it will starts first time.

But dont be disheartened just yet by the bad points as it comes with also the drive away awning that has room in it, cooker, fridge and inverter, so basically it's good to go just get yourself insured get the van taxed, throw in couple of sleeping bags, food and drinks and off you pop!
