This is classic Australian caravan. After doing all of the hard work on this van our lives have changed and am not getting any time to work on her so have decided to sell her on to someone that will finish her off.
Details: 1968 Viscount Duralvan
Work completed:1. The chassis has been sandblasted and repainted. There are some the exterior of the wheel suspension and the drawbar need completing but otherwise it is done.2. new floor has been layed using 15mm flooring ply. This is painted underneath and is fixed with rivets3. The walls have been relined with white paper overlay ply. There is enought to do the ceiling, including all of the joiners4. The walls and ceiling have been insulated with foil bubble insulation5. New 240v and 12v cabling has been run. This has not been terminated as yet. 10 double pole 240v switches included. LED ceiling lights for the van included. New wiring for all running lights.6. Both hatches have been refurbished and have working winders. have replaced all of the wood around the hatch and the flashing on the roof.7. All roof joints have been resealedand are water tight. The exterior mouldings have been removed and resealed.8. All windows have been removed, paint stripped, polished, reglassed and put back and sealed. There are two 760x535 windows missing that need to be sourced from second hand. All window surrounds have been replaced on the inside. Most window catches have been replaced.9. The front and rear window frames have been replaced with new solid wood.10. The door have been polished, new fly netting and new lock and hinges11. Exterior holes etc have been patched where required. One side of the van has several small holes from being an onsite van. These have been patched with fibreglass and bog12. sleeping platform has been built at the rear of the van to accomodate queen size bed.13. Curtains made and fixed for one end window. Curtail rail available for the other end window.
The van can be towed and will install braces internally to ensure this can be done safely. It does not currently have brakes, however it is still very light without the fit-out and should be below the 750kg towing limit for un-braked trailers.
The sale price on the van does not even cover the cost of materials that has already gone into this van and you get all of my labour for free :)
This van is at the stage of being ready for fitout and have plans for the internal layout which can be followed or you can adapt to suit your needs.
