1949 Spartan Manor Dual Axle. Original time capsule with some exceptions. Overall Great Condition considering it’s 70 year old Travel Trailer. The Birch wood interior is original and it does have small amount of water damage around the back center window, and around the heating vent area. The floor is original that is covered with carpet, two minor soft spots one in front and in back below the window (very small). All the cabinets are original, kitchen, bedroom cabinets including the make up mirror cabinet, the bedroom sink cabinet and observation lounge cabinets. The propane stove and propane refrigerator do not appear to be original. All interior electric lights work and are original, the lampshades are vintage but not original. The propane lights have not been tested but are original including the milk glass shades. All exterior marker lights are working, original and have good glass lenses Exception brake lights do not work, center brake light missing lens. The windows are all original with the exception of the front tinted plexiglass windows. Please note the center plexiglass window is not fitted correctly and will need to be taped for travel. The windows all slide and the back side windows roll up and down, with the exception of the passenger side roll hardware is missing. The door locks are original and have keys to them, the locking mechanism on the interior need adjusting. There is one original wood screen door in the observation lounge. of the three roof vents are original and work, the kitchen vent is not working but does have the top cover attached in down position Tires and rims are newer and the bearings have been serviced. Electric Brakes work well! The trailer lights and electric breaks do work but you will need to complete the proper connection hardware for your tow vehicle. There is temporary brake and signal bar attached to the license plate holder for transport. have owned and loved this Spartan for about years. Please note there are several small dents, small bumps, nothing major, please look at photo's. The wood stove is electric and just for decoration. I do have several Spartans and unfortunately need to sell this one. Thank you for looking, please feel free to ask many questions and request additional pictures, On Sep-22-19 at 11:26:00 PDT, seller added the following information:Thank you for looking at my Auction! Purchasing Trailer on eBay can be difficult especially if you are not familiar with the Brand and Model as well as determining the condition based on photos. The following are mostly answers to questions that have been asked during the auction cycle. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you need as am happy to try and answer them all! Hello and thank you for your questions! Depending how adventurous you are and also where you plan on living that adventure, yes! The trailer is livable at present. The Propane stove works, the hot water works, have not tested the Propane heater or fridge so you would need to address that. was going to use this Trailer for Night Rental, but have not found to time to make that happen. The trailer does not have bathroom so you would need portable toilet and warm spring near by to bathe in. have several of these trailers and in my 35 footer added very small pellet stove, it kept the trailer very warm at minus 10 degrees. You will see in my pictures that have the trailer at my cabin and last year we received ton of snow, covered the trailer and removed the snow daily did not have any issues with leaks ,I had electric heater and just hung out in it for fun. Hope this helps! The note says tandem axle but only 25 feet. Normally the tandems were longer. Does this have dual set of axles? Also have you towed it long distance recently? how old are the tires on it? currently own 1947 model but have lot of work to do to it. this may make more sense to me depending on the condition. Hello! Thank you for your question! Yes Axles and almost new trailer tires and Rims! The Last time took it from Park City to The Grand Teton Nation Park, effortless travel with the exception of answering curious lookers questions! The Condition is very original very good for its age. Please keep in mind the front center window need to be taped and most likely new rubber seals. Hello,My name is **** and am an eBay rookie! love the Spartan Manor trailers and yours is very appealing with its dual axles and overall interior appearance. am just getting into vintage trailers, been to couple rally’s, and have talked to friends and have been doing some research on them. Sounds like I’ll need to do some restoration but not too much. few things I’d like to know are: the weight of the trailer. have Ram 1500 eco diesel with 7000 pound rated towing capacity. Also the condition of the frame, is it solid? How about the plumbing and electrical systems? Any updates or all original? What is your reserve price to sell? And lastly, could come see it in person? live in Washington state. Thank you!! Hello ****! Thank you for your questions! The Spartan Manor with the Dual Axles is very easy Trailer to pull! The 25 foot Manor weighs about 3500 Pounds, the metal frame is in very good condition and tows very well. The trailer is mostly original with the exception of the fridge and oven, front tinted windows and possibly the water heater. Please keep in mind that the trailer is 70 years old; that stated it was built to last, all the ribs, I.e. over all structure is aluminum, and the frame is steel. believe it spent most of its life in the west, so mostly not in humid climate. Regarding the plumbing and electric, its all original and all works. The exterior lights work with the exception of brake and signals, temporary light bar is in place for travel. There are no holding tanks for fresh or grey water and there not toilet. The propane is hooked up to the stove only and works well, all lines are there for the propane lights, heater and fridge but not tested. The 70 year old wood looks good but there are few place that were there is water damaged, around the heater vent replaced the wood with aluminum, the front shelve below the large windows was replaced, all the trim was reattached All the door locks work and are original, the exterior has been polished not perfect but looks good There are few dents but not too bad. You are certainly welcome to come and see it in Park City. hope this helps!. From the pictures it appears far away in the mountains, in reality its just of I-80 in developed neighborhood with paved roads and very easy access. Once you decided you want the trailer and as long as you have reasonable truck and two inch ball, will pull trailer out of its camp spot and hook it up to your truck,,,very easy, no problem at all!
