          Here to sell in south Texas is rare 12’ Airlight trailer from the 1950’s.  It appears to be all original inside and it was owned up untilseveral years ago by Sheriff.  The previous owner before us purchased it fromhis estate.  We can get the new owner any type of receipt they need if they wish to apply for title in their state. It was bought several years ago from the estate by some men who then used it for sleeping onthere deer lease property up until recently.  The original interior is shown pretty well in the pictures and is solid candidate for being luxuriously restored.  When we purchased and traded on it we pulled it home down the interstate going up to 70 MPH and it pulled smooth so you have solid base to begin with.

See the example picture above of beautifully restored Airlight.  In this same article it is stated there are only of these 12’ Airlight’s known toexist with having the more desirable rear-entry position like ours.  This 12’ foot model is the rarest to find.  We did have someone buff up the aluminum exterior last month and you'll see from couple of the older rear shots how it had dull finish until then.  It will shine lot more with professional treatment but we wanted to shine it up enough to give bidders better idea of the exteriors potential.  This little gem will look very sharp immediately with two other small changes: new tires and aluminum or chrome hubcaps like the example picture of one restored, plus shining or plating the front hitch area to chrome or silver appearance.  There are many new products on the market that completely eliminate surface rust now like is on the front hitch area currently.  You'll also notice the VIN and ID is still cast into the front hitch where it's supposed to be has it is partially shown in one of the pictures above.

For price comparison you might of seen this 1957 restored 12' Airstream that sold last month for $39,000 on 41 bids:  ebay.com/itm/1957-Airstream-Vintage-Bubble-restored-and-all-original-MUSEUM-QUALITY-BABY-Sz-/252786337018  -and this 1948 trailer and suburban recently got to $75,000 but did not meet the $135,000 reserve:  ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Trailer-/262859617887  With numerous vintage cars from this 1950's era now selling at the Barrett-Jackson or the Mecum auctions for over $100,000 and up this trailer once restored will only continue to appreciate in value. 

There are several trailer restoration places that specialize in making vintage trailers better than new.  would think the cost would be under several thousand dollars for top to bottom restoration including all new interior, walls, windows, cabinets, beds, table, sink, etc. and floor but I'm not sure.  saw someone post they had their larger trailer completely restored for $6,000 and I'm not sure what details were included with that.  But the new owner will be able to decide what all features and design they wish for the interior and they have got an excellent, solid base here to start with.  In any event this trailer will sell to the highest bidder with No Reserve.  So put your best bid in before the end and eBay will bid for you so someone doesn't snipe bid you in the last seconds.  Best of luck bidding!
